Class and small group discussions, written responses and a class debate are to follow. Now that Geography is underway, we'll be starting our year off with an in depth study of the Physical Environment and the changes that are occurring on the world around us. Grade 7's.... The culminating assignment at the end of Unit 1, Physical Patterns in a Changing World, will be for you to create a media presentation on a chosen Natural Disaster. In addition, you will be required to produce a Natural Disasters Response Plan brochure that will combine both Language and Geography expectations. Power point presentations will begin November 24, Grade 8's.... Your culminating task will be to research characteristics of various sustainable communities around the world today, then draw up a plan to create your own successful sustainable community in the future.
